American Legion Riders
District 1 Participation Merit Patch
Qualification Criteria
1.WEST SIDE PATCH: With two (2) or more bikes (this is a must), visit each of the Nine (9) American Legion Posts listed below in two days. NOTE: Two days does not mean back-to-back days, it means that if you cannot complete all visits in one day, all remaining Post visits must be completed during the next atempt. If you cannot complete ALL the remaining visits on the second atempt, they do not count, and you must start over. The Rider must also atend an event at each of the Posts (Please see paragraph 3). The nine (9) Posts are 75, 78, 193, 221, 235, 240, 340, 378 and 382.

2.EAST SIDE PATCH: With two or more bikes (this is a must), visit each of the four (4) American Legion Posts listed below in one (1) day. The Rider must also atend an event at each of the Posts (Please see paragraph 3). The four (4) Posts are 356, 375, 392 and402.
3.EVENTS: The Rider must atend an event at each of the West and East side Posts listed above. These visits DO NOT have a time constraint. You can complete these at your leisure and do not require a fellow Rider. An event is a Riders meeting, Steak Night, FishFry, Poker Run, Band Night, etc.… It does not have to be an ALR event, just an event at that Post. You CANNOT sign off a visit and event on the same day. You must atend an event separate from your initial visit. You cannot show up for your visit and get both visit and event signatures on the same day. The purpose of the D1R Patch is to get Riders out visiting other Posts on more than one occasion and fellowship and meet other Riders and support other Posts and functions. It is not a race.
(OUT OF DISTRICT RIDERS): Understanding that you are coming from out of town, youmust atend one event on each side of District 1 (East and West). If you are unsure of the events happening in the area, please coordinate with the District 1 Chairman for information regarding events within the District.
4.VERIFICATION: All visits must be verified/signed by a Post Officer, bartender, ALR Officer of the Post you are a guest at. Also, if you can get a picture of the Post outside by the sign, that would be great!
5.COMPLETED WORKSHEETS: Must be signed by the Rider and turned into the Director of the home Chapter, who will verify completion, and coordinate with the District 1 Chairman for issue of the patches.
